Introduction

Social innovations are new ideas that meet social needs, create social relationships and support the formation of new collaborations. SupOr eported by public policies and support programmes, they provide a space to tackle social challenges and improve the social system. This is why understanding social innovation in the rural context focused bioeconomy (rural social innovation) is important to solve various social, economical and environmental problems through community-based bioeconomy regional development.
